A Proud Moment for Pocono Township Police!

Yesterday, I had the incredible honor of seeing a major goal come to life. One of the first of its kind in Monroe County. I am beyond proud to have been one of the funding sponsors to help launch this innovative program that will enhance public safety, protect our officers, and keep our community at the forefront of modern policing.

These state-of-the-art drones are a game-changer, providing critical support in emergency situations, search and rescue missions, and day-to-day policing. More importantly, they add an extra layer of protection for our officers, allowing them to assess situations from a safer vantage point before putting themselves in harm’s way.

A great thank you to Detective Sergeant Earl Ackerman for his dedication in leading this program and to Patrolman Larry Miller for sharing his expertise and teaching us all about this incredible technology. Pocono Township continues to be a leader in public safety and innovation.

This is just another step toward ensuring that our police department has the tools, training, and resources they need to continue doing their job effectively and safely. I couldn’t be more proud to support our officers and the amazing work they do for our community every day!
